I love football

So I totally stole this from sportscenter today but I felt like it was a good topic to talk about. We both know of Matt Leinert and Brady Quinn both who were outstanding in college and turned out to be major busts in the pros. So who is to be more successful? 

USC Heisman winning Matt Leinert was cut from 2nd string Cardinals quarterback on Saturday for Derek Anderson who was let go by the Cleveland Browns for Brady Quinn who was let go and went to the Broncos and who is now being moved to third string and taked his place rookie Tim Tebow.  So in the long run I think that Brady quinn is going to end up a better quarterback than Leinert.

Unlike Quinn, Leinert hasnt really given full effort into his performance and skills. There are numerous pictures of Leinert drinking and having fun at the college parties when he should be watching his films. The talent is there but he needs to put it to work! Shape up or ship out!

So Florida lost their “star” quarterback Tim Tebow. Floridas new starting quarterback John Brantley wasnt looking too shabby in spring practice. Yes he does have big shoes to fill, but this shouldnt be much of an issue. John Brantley was redshirted his first season in 2007 and finished the 2008 season going 18 for 28 passing for 235 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He had more media attention drawn to him when he filled in for Tebow when he suffered a severe concussion during the game at Kentucky. Will Florida make the BCS bowl this 2010 season with out Tebow? Probably not, however the future doesnt seem too dark for the gators.

Ben roethlisbergers punishment by the nfl is missing the first 6 games of the season. i think its more of a punishment for the steelers than big ben.

I cant wait to see Ray Lewis take down Tebow either!!!
